It’s been a while but I had to blog my latest travel thoughts. I love going to places I have never been before. It does not matter how far or close the travel may be. Do you ever stop to think about places that have left such a lasting impression on you that you must go visit again? Some people visit the same destinations yearly . What’s your favorite spot? Where have you been more than once, or where would you like to go again? I can’t forget an anniversary trip a few years back to Traverse City Michigan. Sleeping Bear Dunes was phenomenal to see but the best part of the trip was a charming little cherry store with everything you can imagine made from cherries. Everything was available for you to taste before you decided to purchase. Needless to say I will be back.

At the very least you can expect a hotel to be clean regardless of it's star rating. A lack of stars should never be an indication of how clean a hotel will be. Star ratings should only determine luxury and the amenities that are included with the hotel. Below is an in depth article about hotel star rating. http://www.smartertravel.com/travel-advice/What-those-hotel-star.html?id=17054

I have been asked many times why the frequent return to the island of Jamaica and I have three answers: The People, The People, The People! It is not because of the many All Inclusive resorts which includes a prime location of several Sandals chains. Nor is it the consistent 80 to low 90 degree weather all year round. And for those of you who know me really well it is also not because Jamaica is the home town of the fastest man in the world Usain Bolt J.
Before I tell you what’s not to love about the people of Jamaica let’s talk about the Geography. Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean. It is 4,213 square miles and sits 90 miles south of Cuba and 118 mile west of Haiti. Jamaica has about 50 public beaches and many of them are considered the best beaches in the Caribbean.
The PeopleJamaica’s motto is Out of Many, One People. The people are genuinely courteous and not just accommodating because it is required in their job description. I have often seen the men greeting other men with a nod and uttering the words “much respect”. During my first trip I had the opportunity to abandon the usual tourist activities and explore the country side with a trusted private family ran transportation service. The ride to the mountains was amazing and the curb side authentic jerk chicken shack was to die for. Needless to say I am just as excited about leaving for Jamaica this year as I was the first time I went.
